Students at Blanket High School enjoy an excellent FFA program where they engage in opportunities for leadership development, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. Nearly 650,000 members strong, the National FFA program is not just for students who wish to become production farmers; it is for any student who wishes to strengthen personal character.

66th Annual Blanket FFA Rodeo

Please join us for the 66th annual Blanket FFA rodeo on Friday, May 3 and on Saturday, May 4. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, and the rodeo performance is at 7:00 p.m. each night. Admission is $2 for students and contestants and $4 for adults. Concessions will be available throughout the event. All proceeds will benefit the Blanket FFA and FCCLA chapters. Events include bull riding, barrel race, flag race, goat tying, breakaway, tie down, and ribbons. The pay outs will be 50% for rough stock and 75% for speed events. Age divisions include:

  • Ages 8 and under
    Barrels, poles, flags, and goat slapping - $10.00
    Calf riding - $20.00
    Breakaway roping - $40.00
  • Ages 9 –12
    Barrels, poles, flags, and goat tying - $15.00
    Steer riding - $25.00
    Breakaway roping - $40.00
  • Ages 13–15
    Barrels, poles, flags, and goat tying - $20.00
    Junior bull riding - $35.00
    Breakaway, ribbon, and tie-down roping - $40.00
  • Ages 16 –19
    Barrels, poles, flags, and goat tying - $25.00
    Senior bull riding - $40.00
    Breakaway, ribbon, and tie-down roping - $40.00

Current Events

Blanket FFA members Emily Furry, Braylynn Roberts, Kenzie Tidwell, and Bailey Hood participated in the Cross Timbers Leadership Development events on Monday, November 13 in Hamilton, TX. All four participated on the senior quiz team, while Bailey Hood also participated in senior creed speaking.
